The Exciting World Of Engineering

Some of our fantastic young scientists have taken part in the Worcestershire STEM Works Build a Bridge Challenge. Students were introduced to the exciting world of engineering by using K’Nex to produce a solution for building and moving a bridge. The Challenge was a practical activity where students designed and built a bridge alongside a way of transporting that bridge in to place safely!

The winning team were chosen based on their ability to work together, solve problems, produce a working model and communicate their ideas to each other and the judge. They will be representing the Vale school at the Worcestershire STEM Challenge Final held on 13th June at Yamazaki Mazak where pupils will be challenged to create a model using similar criteria to those encountered in school.

It was a fantastic morning and all the students were excellent. Well done!
