6th Form Volunteering at the Heart of England Forest
On Fridays a group of 6th Form pupils go to the Heart of England Forest to plant trees, pull up weeds from around young tress and collect acorns and chestnuts.
We go in all weathers and some of the work is very dirty, but we really enjoy it. We have to wear gloves and follow the safety rules.
By the end of the sessions we are wet, muddy and tired, but we feel joyful because we have done something useful and active.
